Sound Healing and Mantra Chanting Immersion

Healing vibrations
Sounds have a very deep impact on our physical and mental health. Sound is made up of vibrations that affect every single cell in our body. That is because everything in and around us vibrates as well. In this way sound affects the vibration of our bodily atoms and all the atoms that our environment is made up off. This immersion introduces you to the deep healing effect of sound through chanting

Mantra-Chanting

Vedic mantra chanting
cFor mantras to have the proper effect they need to be pronounced in a particular manner and with a certain intonation. In this module we teach how to chant Vedic mantras that are being used for healing purposes. Healing on the physical, mental and breath level. Other than gaining knowledge and the skill of chanting you will gain a more profound understanding of the Vedas which are the source off all six philosophies found in India, and Asia alike. Knowledge of the old scriptures gives a profound foundation deeper insight to all yogic practices that we engage in.

For many centuries, the knowledge that the seekers came to realize, have been transmitted orally from teacher to student by way of chanting. To preserve the knowledge it was written down and these texts are known today as the Vedas. Even though written down, chanting needs to be transmitted orally for the student to learn the particular way of pronounciation, articulation and intonation. In 2003 the UNESCO declared the chanting of the Vedas a form of heritage and form of cultural expression and at Parimukti we feel deeply devoted and committed to contributing to preserving this tradition
