So yesterday we decided to change things up a little with the schedule and we went to the Tushita meditation centre to listen to teachings by Jetsunma, a Buddhist nun who spent 12 years of her life living in a cave as part of her spiritual journey.

She gave a lot of insight, answered questions from the inquisitive and also didn’t forget humour amongst It all, so it was very nice to sit and listen.

Today we all returned to Tushita again to meet Osel Torres. He is the reincarnation of Tibetan Buddhist lama Thubten Yeshe. Although Osel now prefers to be known just as himself and has dropped the Lama title. He is a very honest and Humble character. He gave a very real account of what life was like growing up in a monastery from his early childhood to his teenage years until he ran away. It was very informative and also really refreshing to hear from someone so vibrant and full of enthusiasm.

Here are some photos from the past few days in Dharamsala, I hope they convey just how random this town is!
