Question: Why did you start practicing yoga?
I used to be a horse back rider an when I stopped I felt I was losing my fitness an muscular strength. So I began yoga to try and build up my stamina again and regain my fitness.
Q2: Do you still practice for the same reason?
Yes but now with realisation of all the benefits. It is a healthy mental exercise for me.
Q3: What do you love about it?
I love being around other yogis. Also the way yoga makes me feel and helps me to accept myself for who I am.
Q4: What are your current ‘yoga dreams’?
My dream would be to teach yoga in the summer in Sweden and then in the winter offer trainings, retreats and workshops in India. Essentially I want to focus on this idea of bringing people together and then eventually getting to the point where I can offer classes for donation.
Q5: Who has been your biggest inspiration so far?
Wayne Dyer, he was an author an an amazing man. He has really inspired me through his healthy way of living. Robin Sharma has also influenced me, I love his quotes an his writing, its very powerful. And finally Kino McGregor, she is such a dedicated yoga practitioner.
Q6: If you could change one thing about yogain the 21st century what would it be?
I think its already changing. There are more modern yogis who have loving relationships and enjoy a glass of wine occasionally.
Q6: An finally what is your favourite asana and why?
Of course its a handstand: Adho Mukha Vrksasana. I love it because it brings me back to my focus. When I connect with my breath it makes me feel strong an like I can do anything. The mind becomes quite and clarity comes 🙂
